Three of our Camellias are in bloom at the moment, only the white one has still to come out. The problem is that we are expecting snow and cold winds in the next couple of days and I suspect that these blossoms are soon to become damaged.

It's Mothering Sunday today and the Stepdaughter came around for most of the day. After lunch we watched the DVD the Husband has just bought - "Atonement", the one that has had all the plaudits and wone some Oscars and other awards. All three of us decided afterwards that it was one of the most depressing films we had ever seen and we all felt like slitting our wrists. So afterwards we watched "A Close Shave" with Wallace and Gromit, to cheer ourselves up. So the day ended up quite nicely after all.

I envy you those beautiful camellias, and even more, the warmer weather! We're still mired in winter weather here. It rained, sleeted and then snowed this morning. We're expecting a couple of inches of snow during the next 24 hours. Those camillias would be goners, for sure!

We have the DVD of the Wallace and Gromit story about the were-rabbit, which is very funny. I'll have to look for "A Close Shave"!

Buffy,

Well, our weather isn't as bad as yours, that's for certain but we are expecting very heavy frosts and what the weather forecasters call "wintry showers". I assume this is sleet and snow. Not fun and I expect some damage to the camellia blossoms that are already out. Oh well, it is winter.

We've also got the DVD of Wallace and Gromit and the WerreRabbit but all our family think that it is nowhere near as good as two of the short films - A Close Shave and The Wrong Trowses. Now they are both incredibly funny and can be watched time after time.

Err, the second Wallace and Gromit short should be called The Wrong Trowsers. My spelling is going downhill. Sorry.
