I'ver had a busy day today but stole a few minutes in the garden with my camera. The rock rose and the hardy geranium have both been in flower for a few weeks but this week has been the first time for a while that the weather has been good enough to take pictures. So, here they are.

I'm a bit busy and tied up with things at the moment but will be back as soon as possible.

Your surgery should be all over, by now. Can you see us, now? (Joke--based on a TV ad for a cellular phone company over here, in case you don't have the same ads!) I hope that everything is sharp and dandy for you. The photos are beautiful. I don't recognize the flowers as anything that I've seen; but, I'm not sure that I would remember.

Did Buffy's hand-holding and my thinking of you help any?

Buffy, CopCar,

Thank you for your support, both of you. I am writing this almost exactly 24 hours after the operation and I can see things without glasses and with my right eye for the first time since I was 5 yerars old, when I started wearing glasses all the time. I've always had poor sight, so this is wonderful. I am also surprised at the very significant difference in colours between the right eye (the one that was done) and the left (which still has a cataract). The only problem I have is that I can't read with my right eye at all and I am dealing with the computer just with my feft eye and my old glasses. Hopefuylly thisa will settle down in time, or else a visit to the opticians is in order - but I will have to do the latter anyway in due course and my eye has settled down.

Many thanks and I'll be back soon.

HURRAY!!!!!!!! You came through with flying colors! I'm so glad it went well. Take care of yourself. We'll be here when the typing and reading get easier.

Val, you sound like my brother after he had the first eye done. He couldn't believe the difference that it made. I am so pleased for you!
