Oops!
When the flowers come out is when you discover the mistakes you've made in the garden. We now have pink lupins alonside purple (a.k.a. blue) scabius and purple lupins alongside the pink scabius. Oh well, I've never thrived for perfection in the garden, just something that looks nice. And the greenery around the flowers reduces the colour clashes considerably.

There are those who would intentionally combine the colors that you have combined by accident. Bet your garden looks inviting. (Better than sticking to the safety of white, isn't it?)

P.S. Hunky Husband likes the combination of purple and orange or yellow flowers, while I find the combination not to my taste. Really, it's hard to find an ugly combination of colors in flowers.

The garden looks wondeful at the moment, absolutely full of colour. I agree with you that that it is hard to find an ugly combination of colours. Somehow you just do not get clashes of colour in a garden.
